Job summary
WSP USA is seeking an experienced SCADA and Automation Engineer – Lead Professional for the Boise, ID office. The role involves technical leadership in the design, engineering, and commissioning of utility and industrial power projects, with responsibilities spanning protection and control, SCADA data transfer, and network design.
You will guide project teams, work across locations, and may travel to project sites to test and Commission data transfer schemes, while ensuring safety and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 7–10 years of post-education experience as electrical engineer on power generation, transmission and distribution
- Willingness to travel as required by project
- Proven safety record and adherence to policies
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for design, engineering and commissioning of power projects
- Lead data acquisition, control interfaces and HMI development
- Design and configure SCADA communications, RTUs, IEDs, HMIs and related equipment
- Develop and verify protection and control schemes
- Ensure compliance with IEEE/IEC/ANSI/NERC standards
- Collaborate with project teams and mentor juniors
