Gilbane Building in New York, NY is seeking a SCA Construction Estimator to conceptualize and interpret scope from schematic documents for School Construction Authority projects. The role sits primarily in the office.

You will develop detailed estimates, review contract documents and support negotiations while collaborating with designers and subcontractors. A degree in architecture/construction management or related field is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required in a related field.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment with multiple stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Confers with technical and managerial personnel to coordinate detailed construction cost estimates.
• Ensures preparation of detailed estimates for all design and construction phases.
• Supervises development of quantity surveys and cost evaluations.
• Reviews and reports on consultant estimates and provides recommendations.
• Participates in cost negotiations.
• Plans, assigns and reviews cost estimating work.
• Performs related cost estimating tasks.
