Job summary

Northwest Bank is seeking a Sr. SBA Closing Specialist to manage due diligence from post-acceptance to funding. You will coordinate with SBA Sales, SBA Credit, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely closings. You will maintain knowledge of SBA changes and contribute to process improvements.

The role requires substantial SBA and loan operations experience, with strong organizational and communication skills. Remote work is possible with onsite requirements depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5–6 years of SBA experience preferred.
• 5–6 years of loan closing/loan operations experience required.

Responsibilities

• Identify business entity types and collect required legal documentation.
• Order, review and analyze third‑party documents related to collateral.
• Complete due diligence for loan approval conditions and customer identification.
• Verify approvals by appropriate levels of authority.
• Serve as point of contact among lender, underwriter, customer, attorney, title company and SBA as needed.
• Index all due diligence and approval documents accurately in LOS and systems of record.
• Create legal agreements/contracts using loan documentation software.
• Perform post-closing review for accuracy and upload to system of record.
• Coordinate loan fees collection and disbursement per schedule.
• Provide information to Loan Servicing for system input and maintenance.
• Ensure SBA forms and disclosures are properly completed at application and closing.
• Submit SBA approvals via E-Tran or SBA One as required.
