Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking an SBL Closing Specialist III to manage, coach and develop staff through the full SBA loan closing process from approval to funding. You will ensure compliance with SBA and internal requirements and act as a lead trainer and protocol developer.

You will organize files, coordinate third parties, and prepare closing documents using LaserPro, while maintaining exceptional customer service and timely closings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant field.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated management, leadership and coaching skills.
• LaserPro experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage closing from approval through funding and maintain complete files.
• Coach, mentor and develop staff while leading training and protocols.
• Order appraisals, environmental reports, title work, and tax transcripts.
• Review closing documents and ensure SBA compliance and regulations.
• Coordinate with third parties to collect all information and close loans on time.
• Assist with developing department procedures and protocols.
