The Boeing Company in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer for Satellite Solar Array and Battery systems. This mid-career to senior role focuses on mechanical design support of solar array and battery technologies, including substrates, yoke structures, panels, and battery packs, with REA responsibilities.

You will work with cross-functional teams across Systems Engineering, Stress, Dynamics, Materials & Processes, Production, and Supplier Management to deliver

Formación

• BS in Engineering with focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials Sciences.
• 5+ years related work experience for Level 3; 9+ years for Level 4 (solar array tech).
• Top Secret/SOI clearance preferred; TS/SCI eligibility required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead functional teams as potential Technical Lead Engineer or REA Lead on solar array design and integration.
• Develop mechanical and electrical designs (layouts, yoke/structures, harnesses) using Creo and AutoCAD with GD&T and material selection.
• Perform solar array analyses (deployment, wing predictions, power analysis) to support mission teams.
• Drive qualification tests for solar panels and wings; draft reports and present to customers.
• Lead RCCA investigations and prepare Failure Review Board packages for internal/external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with chief engineers and program leads to ensure containment and corrective actions.
