Job summary

The Boeing Company in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Associate Mechanical Product Design and Analysis Engineer (Level 2) to join the Space Electronics Packaging team. You will contribute to mechanical PCB design, electronics packaging, and thermal/structural/vibration analysis across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to obtain U.S. security clearance (Top Secret/SCI)
• BS in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Aeronautical) or related field
• Experience using CAD tools
• Experience in electronic packaging or PCB design/assembly or thermal/structural/vibration analysis
• 2+ years of related work experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multi-discipline groups to develop requirements and designs
• Guide structural design and configuration development with trade studies
• Perform detailed structural and thermal analyses
• Document analyses to show compliance with requirements
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering on PCB layouts and routing
• Validate designs through reviews, testing and analyses
• Develop processes and improvements to reduce cycle time and drive product improvements
• Investigate root causes and corrective actions for failures
• Track technical performance measures for compliance
• Support supplier management with make/buy recommendations
• Explore emerging technologies for future designs
• Work under general direction
