Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead automation for validating payload software at scale in our satellite network near Redmond, WA. You will architect end-to-end testing frameworks, define strategies for signal routing, beam forming, and network handoffs, and own regression testing across thousands of scenarios as the constellation grows.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate cross-functionally with payload software, systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of programming in Java/C++/C# with object-oriented design experience
• 5+ years leading design or architecture of systems
• 5+ years non-internship software development experience
• 3+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading an engineering team
• Experience with CI/CD and test automation approaches

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive development of automated test frameworks for satellite communication systems
• Lead technical roadmap and decide features to build
• Own CI/CD pipeline architecture for automated regression on every payload change
• Collaborate with payload software, systems engineering, RF, and operations teams to define test strategies and gaps
• Build scalable automation to reduce manual testing and accelerate release cycles
• Design test sequences coordinating equipment and services across layers
