Job summary

Elveo seeks a Satellite Operations Engineer to ensure the health, safety, and performance of its LEO satellite constellation. You will review telemetry, lead anomaly investigations, and guide operational concepts and automation while coordinating during LEOP with a technically oriented team.

The role emphasizes ambiguity-to-clarity problem solving, with collaboration across flight software, attitude control, and ground interfaces to maintain robust operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in satellite operations, telemetry analysis, and anomaly resolution.
• Proficiency with STK, MATLAB, Python, and related data-analysis tools.
• Typically 5–10 years of spacecraft operations or system-level investigations.
• Experience with satellite flight software and attitude control is preferred.
• Knowledge of orbital dynamics and space-to-ground interfaces is a plus.
• ITAR/compliance: eligibility to work in the U.S. per export controls.

Responsibilities

• Daily Telemetry Review: monitor health and performance of the satellite constellation.
• Anomaly Investigation: drive end-to-end investigations from detection to verification.
• Technical Trades: optimize satellite operations considering power, bandwidth, and dynamics.
• Concepts of Operations and Automation Development: create and evaluate operational concepts and automations.
• Launch and Early Operations (LEOP): provide technical oversight during launch and early ops.
• Data Analysis Tools and Operations Workflows: improve tools and workflows for telemetry interpretation.
