Job summary

Amazon LEO Mission Operations is seeking a Systems Engineer to own cross-system resolution of operational problems that affect safety, reliability, and scale of satellite constellations. You will drive requirements, interface definitions, and validation criteria across ground services, while maintaining risk and fleet health metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
• 3+ years in the Aerospace industry and 1+ year in spacecraft operations or direct support.
• Strong understanding of space system architecture and subsystem functionality.

Responsibilities

• Own cross-system resolution of operational problems to enable safe, reliable, scalable constellation operations.
• Define and maintain interfaces, requirements, and testable acceptance criteria across ground services.
• Manage operational risk, fleet health KPIs, and escalation paths; drive concepts of operation and verification strategies.
• Draft CONOPS and operational requirements; ensure operator needs are integrated into system architecture.
