Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior Satellite Control Systems Analyst (Engineering Specialist/Senior Engineering Specialist) to provide leadership across dynamics, estimation, and control for diverse satellite programs. You will guide concepts through operations, addressing novel challenges and representing the group on corporate initiatives.

This full-time role is based in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA, requiring at least 4 days onsite with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 6+ years of experience in guidance, navigation, and control systems.
• Expertise in spacecraft control design, estimation theory, and multibody dynamics.
• Strong analysis skills with rendezvous and proximity operations.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 15%.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship to obtain clearance.

• Providing technical and strategic guidance in controls, dynamics, and estimation.
• Developing solutions to novel controls-related problems.
• Exercising technical authority and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Advising customers, management, and contractors with analysis results.
• Collaborating across the corporation on strategic multi-disciplinary teams.
• Developing partnerships across academia, industry, and government.
• Identifying opportunities for expanded technical tasking and pursuing new opportunities.
