Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited program in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
• Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation
• 0-1 year of industry work experience
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Knowledge of trajectory performance, orbital mechanics, control systems, and/or navigation sensors.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses of launch and upper-stage guidance and navigation systems, including guidance algorithms and sensors
• Develop mathematical models and high-fidelity simulations of launch vehicles
• Create computational tools, such as 6 degree-of-freedom simulations, to analyze guidance and navigation system performance
• Prepare technical reports and briefings for analysts and management
• Support multiple programs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
