Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff in an on-site role at our El Segundo, CA facility, with flexibility for Chantilly, VA or Colorado Springs. You’ll apply modeling and simulation to support national security and civil space programs, lead small teams, and mentor junior staff in analysis tasks.

We require a Master’s degree in aerospace, physics, OR related fields and up to 1 year of industry experience post-bachelors.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or pursuing in aerospace/related field.
• 0-1 year experience in modeling, simulation, or space operations.
• Familiarity with Python, C/C++, and/or HPC/Linux environments.
• Security clearance ability; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis in geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation systems, or space protection.
• Apply engineering techniques to support research, development, and acquisition decisions.
• Perform architecture evaluation and modeling of overall performance.
• Develop and present technically accurate reports and recommendations.
• Lead small teams and mentor junior staff on routine analysis tasks.
