Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Satellite Control Systems Analyst to provide senior technical leadership in dynamics, estimation, and control for a diverse satellite programs portfolio. The role is based in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA with onsite work 4 days a week.

Applicants should have 6+ years in GN&C, MATLAB/Simulink, and Python, plus a Graduate degree in a related field and TS/SCI clearance. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM field with focus on controls, dynamics, estimation.
• 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in guidance, navigation, and control systems.
• Expertise in spacecraft control systems design and analysis, estimation theory, and advanced dynamics/multibody systems.
• Strong analysis skills with rendezvous and proximity operations, including relative navigation using Kalman filtering.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or related computing languages.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 15%.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship for clearance eligibility.
