Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Senior Staff SATCOM Algorithm Engineer to lead system-level design for next‑gen satellite modem systems and waveforms. You will drive architecture, define requirements, and guide FPGA-based implementations from concept through testing.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in SATCOM, strong VHDL and MATLAB skills, and a proven track record in integrating complex subsystems within a lab environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of Satellite Communications Systems Engineering or related experience.
• Experience with high-level architecture of communications systems.
• Algorithm development and digital signal processing for SATCOM
• Knowledge of FPGA-based modem implementations.
• Proficiency with MATLAB for simulation.
• Hands-on lab experience with hardware testing and measurements.
• Development of FPGA code with VHDL.
• Experience with DVB-S2/S2X or related waveforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and integrate ground-based satellite modem systems.
• Define high-level architecture and requirements.
• Support FPGA-based modem implementation and VHDL design.
• Implement satellite waveform signal processing algorithms.
• Lead integration of communications subsystems and test activities.
