Job summary

The Texas Education Agency seeks a SAS Programmer/Data Analyst to join the Data & Reporting Infrastructure team within Performance Reporting. You will develop datasets, reports, and tools to provide actionable insights into student performance across Texas.

Responsibilities include ETL operations, validating data, and configuring data downloads for districts and the public, with work performed under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• At least four (4) years of SAS programming experience including data validation and working with large databases.
• Experience with CI/CD using Jira, Bitbucket, and Jenkins; familiarity with SAS procedures and macros.
• Strong documentation and testing discipline for complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver SAS-based tools and trackers for TEAL apps with data processing.
• Define and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test/deploy processes for SAS reporting.
• Develop and deliver state performance reports and downloads; fulfill data requests with analyses.
