Job summary

The Texas Education Agency's Office of Governance seeks a Data Analyst to advance self-reported data initiatives within SRDU. You will perform advanced data analyses using SAS, support compliance reviews, and help improve program outcomes for Texas schools.

Under general supervision, you will develop dashboards, ensure data quality, and present findings to agency leadership. This term position runs through Aug 30, 2027, with potential continuation subject to funding.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited two-year college or university.
• At least three years of experience in data analysis, research, and/or evaluation, including a minimum of two years of SAS experience.
• Education and experience may substitute for one another on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Data Anomaly Detection: identify data elements, set thresholds, and collaborate to identify anomalies and assess risk.
• Data Analysis: perform analyses and ad-hoc requests with SAS code.
• Quality Control: review SAS programs, dashboards, and outputs for accuracy.
• Report Writing: prepare concise reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Internal Support: collaborate with subject matter experts and staff to resolve findings.
