Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions within the US utility sector. You will translate billing requirements into effective functional solutions that support accurate and timely customer bills across the meter-to-cash lifecycle.

The role requires strong SAP IS-U experience, customer-focused collaboration with stakeholders, and travel of 40-60% to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including 3+ years hands-on SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing.
• Experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, invoicing and billing-cycle processes.
• Experience supporting periodic and non-periodic billing, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, billing exceptions, and bill simulation.
• Understanding meter-to-cash processes and dependencies among Billing, Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, and connected systems.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze billing requirements across electric, gas, and/or water utilities.
• Configure and support SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions, master data, rates, and billing orders.
• Configure and validate periodic/non-periodic billing, estimates, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, and bill simulation.
• Coordinate end-to-end process impacts across multiple teams and systems.
• Support testing, defect resolution, and production stabilization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into functional designs.
