Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for U.S. utilities.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate billing requirements into functional designs and ensure accurate customer bills across the meter-to-cash lifecycle. The role involves end-to-end delivery, unit and integration testing, travel up to 40–60%, and coordinating with multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

• Strong SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing knowledge within utility meterto-cash processes.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
• Ability to translate business, regulatory, and operational requirements into practical SAP IS-U functional designs.
• Experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or design, testing and production support in utilities.
• Willingness to travel 40-60% to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze billing requirements across electric, gas, and water utilities.
• Configure billing and invoicing solutions, including master data, rate structures, and billing schemas.
• Configure and support periodic and non-periodic billing, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, and bill simulation.
• Validate invoicing, billing-document creation, payment handoffs, and downstream postings with FI-CA.
• Prepare functional designs, test scenarios, process flows, and project deliverables.
• Execute unit and integration testing and support UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Coordinate end-to-end process impacts across multiple teams (Device Management, EDM, FI-CA, Customer Service, etc.).
• Support time-of-use and other complex billing scenarios; assist with cutover and post-go-live stabilization.
