Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant for the US to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions across the meter-to-cash lifecycle. You will translate utility billing requirements into effective functional designs while collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams.

The role involves delivering complex billing configurations, supporting testing, and guiding client teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration/design, testing, and production support in utilities.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
• Ability to translate regulatory and business requirements into practical SAP IS-U functional designs.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze billing requirements across electric, gas, and water utilities.
• Configure and support SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions, including master data, rates, and billing schemas.
• Configure periodic and non-periodic billing, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, and bill simulation.
• Validate invoicing, billing documents, and downstream postings with FI-CA and related systems.
• Analyze billing exceptions and identify root causes across meter reads, device data, and customer data.
• Prepare functional designs, configuration docs, test scenarios, and process flows.
• Execute unit and integration testing and support UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Coordinate end-to-end process impacts across related modules and teams.
• Support time-of-use and other complex billing scenarios and post-go-live stabilization.
