Job summary

Zip is seeking a Solutions Architect to build the technical foundation powering Zip’s ERP and integration ecosystem, with a focus on internal enablement and SAP-focused architectures. You will help define standard templates, data models, and scalable integration patterns for enterprise deployments.

You’ll work with Engineering, Product, and Design to maintain Zip-owned ERP templates, influence product architecture, and drive best-practice integrations for hundreds of future implementations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years delivering integrations with SAP ERP (ECC, S/4HANA) or Ariba.
• Strong knowledge of MM and FI data models.
• Familiarity with SAP integration methods (IDocs, BAPI/RFC, OData, CPI).
• Familiarity with iPaaS tools; able to learn new platform tools quickly.
• Experience with XML/REST endpoints and authentication protocols.
• Past ERP implementation/integration experience required.
• Ability to translate highly technical information for varied audiences.
• Comfortable with API documentation and testing.
• Document customer requirements quickly with little oversight.
• Lifelong learner with open to learning new technologies.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams.
• Process-driven with bias toward continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Architect & standardize SAP integrations: ECC and S/4HANA, Ariba templates for scalable, repeatable deployments.
• Bridge product & field: align templates with core architecture and customer needs.
• Turn nuance into scale: identify reusable data mapping patterns from complex implementations.
• Support pre-sales engineering: design and vet integration architectures for new customers.
• Drive technical implementation excellence: document and champion best practices across implementations.
• Become a Multi-ERP expert: grow fluency across additional ERP ecosystems.
• Build for permanent scale: design solutions once for easy future deployments, including API tweaks.
