Job summary

Zip is seeking a Solutions Architect to build the technical foundation powering Zip’s ERP and integration ecosystem. The role focuses on internal enablement, navigating customer environments to architect clean solutions, and driving best-in-class standards across all integration workflows—centered on the Workday Financials ecosystem.

As Zip scales, you will create reusable assets, define standards for how Zip products interact with external systems, and collaborate with EPD to design scalable

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience delivering integrations with Workday Financials.
• Knowledge of Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM) in Core Financials, Procurement, and Supplier Accounts.
• Familiarity with standard Workday integration methods and tools (Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Web Services, RaaS).
• Experience with XML/REST endpoints and authentication.
• Past ERP implementation or integration experience.
• Ability to translate technical information for varied audiences.
• Comfort with API documentation and troubleshooting integration errors.
• Proactive and detail-oriented; able to document requirements quickly.
• Willingness to learn new technologies Zip may adopt.
• Strong communication and collaboration with product/engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect & standardize Workday integrations: design and iterate on core templates for scalable, repeatable implementations.
• Bridge product & the field: align templates with product architecture and customer needs.
• Turn nuance into scale: identify reusable data mapping patterns from complex cases.
• Support pre-sales engineering: work with account teams to design and vet integration architectures.
• Drive technical implementation excellence: define and champion best practices across projects.
• Become a Multi-ERP expert: build fluency across additional ERP ecosystems.
• Build for permanent scale: balance high-level design with hands-on API configuration.
