Job summary

Belcan is seeking an SAP S/4HANA Production/PP-PI & Integration Consultant to join our Pittsburgh team. The role focuses on implementing and supporting PP-PI, designing SAP-MES integrations, and driving efficient, scalable manufacturing and logistics solutions for global clients.

You will work with global and regional client organizations, shared services, and production sites to deliver best-practice solutions. Requires 5+ years SAP PP-PI experience and strong integration know-how.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least four years of related experience, OR a master's degree with at least two years of related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP PP-PI implementation experience.
• Strong understanding of S4/HANA production processes and functionalities.
• Experience integrating SAP with plant MES systems and configuring/testing SAP-MES interfaces with control recipes/Process messages.
• Strong knowledge of SAP integration technologies (RFC, BAPI, API, IDocs, SFTP).
• Knowledge of logistics and warehousing integration with production modules.
• Experience with production planning, execution, and control processes.
• Ability to communicate technical and business issues/solutions to stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong listening skills and ability to translate needs across functions.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in tight timelines.
• Demonstrated creativity, practicality, and teamwork.
• Understanding of IT architecture/cloud and ERP development.

Job Description:

The role involves collaborating with global and regional Client organizations, as well as Shared Services and Production Sites, to drive solution consulting and design new solutions aligned with best practices. The objective is to achieve the highest level of efficiency and sustainability in the global manufacturing and logistics solutions for Client.

Skills/Qualifications of the Candidate

Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration/management, or a related field, with at least four years of related experience, OR a master's degree in information technology, business administration/management, with at least two years of related experience.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP PP-PI implementation experience
• Strong understanding of S4/HANA production processes and functionalities
• Proficient in troubleshooting and leading the evaluation and design of corrections for complex incidents, maintaining a high level of functional competency in the standard configuration of PP-PI (including control recipe integration), and leveraging best practices and new trends in Covestro's current and future projects.
• Proven experience integrating SAP with plant MES systems. Expertise in configuring and testing an SAP-MES interface with Control recipes/Characteristic-based process instructions/Process messages
• Strong knowledge of SAP integration technologies (RFC, BAPI, API, IDocs, SFTP)
• Knowledge of logistics and warehousing integration with production modules
• Experience with production planning, execution, and control processes
• Experience communicating technical and business issues/solutions to individuals at all levels, including process owners and stakeholders.
• Strong active listening skills and the ability to translate needs, concerns, and solutions across functional and stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a tight project timeline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL Server and .NET applications including T-SQL skills (Transact-SQL)
• Experience with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) simple logistics, and RF integration.
• Prior work with integrated production systems
• Experience with chemical industry-specific production processes
• Knowledge of manufacturing best practices
