Job summary

Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee construction, repair, and maintenance of sanitary, drainage, and flood protection systems. The role includes directing field crews, planning capital projects, and coordinating with MSD customers and officials.

Responsibilities involve back-up to drainage and flood protection supervisors, ensuring safety, and meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in engineering, engineering technology, construction administration or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience relating to sanitary/drainage construction.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have the ability to respond to MSD emergencies 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all phases of construction, repair and maintenance of sanitary, drainage and flood protection systems/assets.
• Oversees CSO inspection, maintenance and repair, sewer line cleaning and catch basin cleaning.
• Plans, administers, and coordinates all capital project activities and related work orders.
• Trains and evaluates employees; responds to MSD emergencies including rain, snow and flood events.
• Acts as back-up to Drainage and Flood Protection Supervisors; coordinates with MSD customers and officials.
