Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Software Asset Management Analyst to lead license management and compliance across enterprise software portfolios. This role collaborates with technology owners, product teams, engineering, and vendors to optimize utilization and costs.

The candidate should have deep SAM experience, ServiceNow proficiency, and a proven ability to manage complex asset data in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience with IT Asset Management in a large/complex environment.
• 5+ years experience with management approaches for IT assets.
• 5+ years experience in a total IT environment.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro.
• Strong understanding of software licensing, compliance and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software asset lifecycle for enterprise portfolios.
• Monitor entitlements, inventory, deployment, and consumption.
• Identify and remediate licensing gaps and over/under-utilization.
• Analyze usage and advise on compliance, renewals, and cost control.
• Serve as subject matter expert for publishers and advise on licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with owners, engineering, governance, and vendors.
• Support audits, risk assessments, and control activities.
• Lead or participate in software rationalization and renewal initiatives.
• Investigate data quality issues in entitlement, inventory and consumption.
• Improve SAM processes, tooling, and SOPs.
