Job summary

Verisk is seeking a Software Asset Management Analyst to manage software assets end-to-end, ensuring entitlement accuracy, license compliance, and optimization. The role emphasizes data-driven SAM, renewals, procurement, and governance across IT, Finance, and Legal teams.

Focus on continuous process improvement, responsible AI adoption, cloud governance, and automation while maintaining records in ServiceNow SAM Pro and related systems.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in software asset management or related discipline.
• Experience reconciling entitlement, inventory, contracts, and usage data.
• Knowledge of licensing models including SaaS, perpetual, and subscriptions.
• Experience with SAM/ITSM platforms and data quality initiatives.
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly to analyze information and improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain entitlement, contract, purchase, subscription, and usage records; resolve data discrepancies.
• Perform license reconciliation, compliance analysis, and assist audits and remediation.
• Analyze inventory data to identify optimization and coordinate reclamation or reassignment.
• Track renewals, costs, terms, milestones; validate POs, invoices, and contracts.
• Manage software requests and onboarding of new products with governance and cataloging.
• Prepare operational reports on usage, spend, renewals, compliance, and savings.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, IT, Security, Legal, and vendors throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain SAM processes, SOPs, maps, controls, and knowledge materials.
