Qualifications

• CPA, JD, or Masters in Tax.
• 6+ years of experience in state taxation.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Proficient in Excel and generative AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on multistate income tax issues, including apportionment, nexus, residency, audit defense, and PTET.
• Support income tax planning and restructuring projects.
• Review and consult on pass-through entity issues, including elections and investor qualifications.
• Advise on multistate implications of legislative and regulatory developments affecting income tax.
• General indirect tax consulting as needed (sales/use tax, gross receipts tax).
• Conduct research and writing related to income tax planning and accounting for income taxes.
• Research and writing in support of technical income tax positions and client deliverables.
• Draft articles regarding trending topics and noteworthy developments.
• Lead state income tax due diligence in mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
