Baker Tilly, a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, is seeking a State & Local Tax Director focused on High Net Worth Residency for our California-based Private Wealth practice. You will lead complex residency and multistate tax engagements while building relationships with high net worth clients and referral sources.

Located in California, you will partner with Private Wealth leadership to grow a national residency capability, supervise Senior Managers, and contribute to thought leadership

Qualifikationen

• 4-year degree required.
• 12 years of professional experience required.
• CPA, CMI or Law License/JD, LLM required.

Aufgaben

• Serve as a senior strategic advisor to high net worth individuals and families on residency, domicile, and multistate income tax matters.
• Lead the firm's most complex residency and multistate tax matters, including planning engagements, audits, appeals and controversies.
• Provide executive-level quality and risk oversight for significant engagements and client communications.
• Partner with Private Wealth leaders to deliver residency and state income tax services nationally.
• Build relationships with Private Wealth partners and proactively identify opportunities within the client base.
• Take a leadership role in business development, originating opportunities and expanding client relationships.
• Lead meetings and proposals, articulate Baker Tilly's value proposition, and develop engagement strategies and pricing.
