Job summary

Columbus Technology Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to join the IT Applications Development team in Columbus, OH. You will design, build, and operationalize new Marketing Cloud capabilities with minimal existing structure, serving as the technical SME for all SFMC initiatives.

Responsibilities include designing customer journeys, leading end-to-end delivery, and mentoring junior developers while staying current with SFMC releases.

Qualifications

• >8 years hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience.
• >Experience creating and optimizing customer journeys using Marketing Cloud components (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio).
• >Strong proficiency with Marketing Cloud data model (DEs, Send Logs, Data Views, Contact Builder).
• >Experience in production environments with high-volume campaigns and integrations via APIs (REST & SOAP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy customer journeys within Marketing Cloud using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, content builder.
• Lead end-to-end delivery including requirements review, solution build, testing, deployment and post-launch monitoring.
• Develop personalized content using AMPscript, SSJS, HTML/CSS and dynamic data extensions; set up data models.
• Manage Marketing Cloud environments, security, user roles and data governance.
• Handle surveys and integrations with Marketing Cloud tools and external platforms; activate follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate marketing requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for journeys, data integrations, and automation processes.
• Mentor junior Salesforce developers and promote best practices.
• Stay updated with Salesforce Marketing Cloud releases and best practices.
