Job summary

Comtech Global, Inc. in Columbus, OH is hiring a Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to join our IT Application Development team on a hybrid schedule. You will design, build, and operationalize new Marketing Cloud capabilities with minimal existing structure.

You will design and deploy customer journeys, manage data models and APIs, and mentor junior developers. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years MC development are required, with ongoing Salesforce certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience.
• Proven ability to design and optimize customer journeys using MC tools.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, AMPscript, SSJS, HTML and CSS.
• Solid understanding of MC data model (DEs, Send Logs, Data Views, Contact Builder).
• Experience in production environments with high-volume campaigns.
• Deep knowledge of REST & SOAP APIs.
• Experience with MC integrations (MC Connect, Data Cloud).
• Active Salesforce MC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct Client- Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, Columbus, OH - Hybrid

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to join our IT Application Development team. This role requires someone who can build from the ground up — designing, establishing, and operationalizing new Marketing Cloud Engagement capabilities, frameworks, and workflows with minimal existing structure. The selected candidate will serve as the technical subject matter expert for all Salesforce Marketing Cloud initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and deploy customer journeys within marketing cloud utilizing Journey Builder, Automation Studio, content builder.

Lead end-to-end delivery, including requirements review, solution build, Testing, deployment and post-launch monitoring.

Develop personalized content using AMPscript, SSJS, HTML/CSS, and dynamic data extensions. Set up and configure data models.

Manage Marketing Cloud environments, including configuration, user roles, security, subscriber model and data governance standards.

Manage preference centers, subscription management, regulatory compliance (Eg – CAN-SPAM, GDPR)

Configure surveys through Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including configuring survey journeys, integrating survey tools (such as Salesforce Survey, FormAssembly, or external platforms), managing response capture, and activating follow‑up or trigger-based actions.

Partner with business stakeholders to translate marketing requirements into scalable technical solutions using Marketing Cloud.

Create and maintain technical documentation for journeys, data integrations, and automation processes.

Mentor junior Salesforce developers, promoting best practices in journey development and data connectivity.

Stay current with Salesforce Marketing Cloud releases, features, and best practices to continuously improve solutions.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of hands‑on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience.

Proven ability to create and optimize customer journeys using Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio).

Strong proficiency in SQL, AMP script, SSJS, HTML, CSS.

Solid understanding of Marketing Cloud data model (DEs, Send Logs, Data Views, Contact builder).

Proven experience working in production environments with high-volume campaigns.

Deep knowledge of APIs (REST&SOAP).

Experience with integrations involving marketing cloud. (Eg – Marketing Cloud Connect, Data Cloud)

Solid understanding of data-driven marketing, personalization, and segmentation strategies.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

Active Salesforce certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant).

• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) for unified profiles, identity resolution, segmentation, and real‑time activation.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM or other mar tech ecosystem tools.
• Working knowledge of multi-cloud architecture and enterprise integrations.
