Job summary

Morningstar Inc. is seeking a Senior Salesforce Software Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable Salesforce solutions for Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Service.

You will partner with product management, stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate requirements into secure, maintainable solutions and mentor junior developers. The role emphasizes integration work with Informatica, Agentforce, and AI-enabled capabilities, requiring hands-on Apex, Lightning components, and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Alternative: Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• 3 years of working experience in Salesforce development and admin.
• Experience with Sales and Service cloud and Lightning components.
• Experience with SQL Server 2008/2012, ASP/ASP.NET.
• Knowledge of Informatica and enterprise integration concepts, APIs, middleware, ETL, data pipelines and integrations with external systems.
• Experience with Salesforce.com design, configuration, and custom development using Apex Classes, Triggers, Visualforce, SOQL & SOSL.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Lead complex development and integration work and mentor junior developers.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Salesforce integrations with external systems.
• Design, build, and support Agentforce capabilities and AI-enabled outcomes.
• Ensure unit and integration tests meet coverage targets (75%).
• Support release management and deployment of Salesforce packages.
