Job summary

Morningstar is seeking a Senior Salesforce Software Engineer for the Corporate Technology group. You will design, develop, and support scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Service, partnering with product management and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, maintainable deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field with relevant engineering experience.
• 5 years of Salesforce development experience; Salesforce Cloud knowledge.
• 3 years of Salesforce development experience to start from scratch and admin.
• Experience with Sales and Service Cloud; Lightning components.
• Experience with Agentforce, Einstein, AI patterns, prompt design, and enterprise integration (Informatica).
• Knowledge of APIs, middleware, ETL and data pipelines, and integrations with external systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to deliver Salesforce solutions.
• Own programmatic requests and translate stakeholder requirements into technical specs.
• Mentor junior developers (40%).
• Develop and maintain Salesforce integrations with external systems (10%).
• Design and support Agentforce capabilities for AI-enabled outcomes.
• Choose between point-and-click vs Apex code for requirements (10%).
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code respecting governor and API limits (10%).
• Support legacy SQL Server CRM applications (5%).
• Create and execute unit/integration tests with >75% coverage.
• Review junior code (5%).
• Assist with QA testing and release management for Salesforce Packages.
