Caterpillar Inc. in the United States invites applications for a Senior Software Engineer on the Salesforce AI & Engineering team to design, develop, and maintain Salesforce and AI-powered solutions across our digital platforms.

You will lead adoption of Salesforce AI technologies, integration patterns, and enterprise-grade applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires strong cloud, AI, and data modeling skills and offers career growth at a Fortune 100 leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years designing and developing software in Python.
• Experience with Git version control on medium to large teams.
• CI/CD tools experience (Jenkins, Github Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, EventBridge, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Dynamo, S3, IAM, RDS).
• GenAI tools like Copilot or Claude Code.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases.
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Sales Cloud knowledge.
• Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, Data Modeling, AMP scripting.
• Understanding governance, release management, scalable design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Agile methodologies.
• Develop scalable Salesforce and AI-powered solutions across clouds and data.
• Build integrations using Apex, LWC, Visualforce, JavaScript, and Salesforce APIs.
• Create declarative solutions with OmniStudio, Flows, and automation.
• Develop integrations with REST, SOAP, and middleware.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Champion governance and reusable patterns for scalable delivery.
