Job Description Summary:

This position is a direct contributor "overlay" role with client-facing responsibilities. You will collaborate with Regional Sales Directors, Senior Account Executives, and Pre-Sales Engineers across North America, focusing on the Rocket Mainframe Security product portfolio and related implementation services for Fortune 1000 clients. Rocket offers a highly regarded software portfolio addressing complex IT needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities for mainframe security solutions, building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  2. Leadership and Communication: Serve as the main contact for Mainframe Security Sales in the US, communicating effectively across regions and providing guidance.
  3. Translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions for C-Level audiences.
  4. Partner with the Infrastructure Business Unit to understand market trends and client needs in Mainframe Security.
  5. Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; work independently and globally.
  6. Collaborate with sales teams to execute sales strategies for Integrity & Resiliency, Pen Testing, and Vulnerability Testing.
  7. Develop enablement and go-to-market plans with Product Marketing and Management.
  8. Educate and enable Account Executives on offerings, pitches, and objections.
  9. Work with Sales Engineers on discovery, customer meetings, and proof of concepts.
  10. Assist in building proposals and pricing strategies.
  11. Interact directly with customers and prospects to promote enterprise solutions.
  12. Support customer migration from competitors to Rocket offerings.
  13. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations for compliance and effectiveness.
  14. Represent Rocket at trade shows and industry events.
  15. Knowledge of High Availability and Business Continuity is a plus.
  16. Propose and sell professional services engagements.
  17. Willingness to travel within the USA as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Deep knowledge of mainframe environments, cybersecurity expertise, and a proven sales track record.
  • Experience in Workload Automation, DevOps, or related areas is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
  • Channel Partner experience is beneficial.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.

Travel Requirements: 25-50% for tradeshows and client meetings.

The salary range for this role is $106,024.40 - $132,530.80/year, with potential commissions.
