Job summary

Guitar Center Inc. is seeking a senior- or lead-level associate in Maryland to consistently achieve sales targets while delivering superior customer service. You will also promote music programs and build relationships with schools, churches, and community groups.

The role involves merchandising, displays, and store operations, with pay at $16.00–$17.00 per hour plus location-based commissions and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Skilled knowledge of musical instruments and written music.

Responsibilities

• Generate sales to exceed personal sales goals.
• Promote the Music & Arts lesson program.
• Create business by networking with teachers, schools, churches, and community organizations.
• Develop customer relationships and provide compelling sales presentations.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service to each customer.
• Promote customer loyalty.
• Participate in all areas of store operation including merchandising and displays.
• Maintain store security including keys and alarm codes.
• Additional duties as assigned.
