The beautiful Diplomat Beach Resort is seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Manager to join our high-performing team! Ideal candidates will bring experience in group and convention sales, with a proven ability to convert a high volume of leads into successful bookings.

This oceanfront resort boasts 1,000 guest rooms, including 96 suites, and offers the ultimate South Florida escape with two beachside pools, a kid-friendly Dip & Slide splash pad, and 1,000 feet of pristine shoreline. With 209,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space—including a breathtaking 50,000 sq. ft. Great Hall—The Diplomat is built to host events of every size. Enjoy panoramic ocean views, exceptional dining, and endless sunshine in vibrant Hollywood, Florida.

A Senior Sales Manager is responsible for securing groups and conventions by building and establishing relationships with customers. Hilton seeks dynamic, well-rounded, business-minded individuals. The sales office environment is fast-paced and ever-changing, serving as a launchpad for career growth in hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research, solicit, and generate new leads for group opportunities via database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue to meet and exceed goals.
  2. Represent the hotel in developing market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing accounts, aiming to maximize revenue and profitability.
  3. Develop business strategies by analyzing market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to capture lead revenue, and surpassing sales targets.

This role requires strong sales, communication, and networking skills, with a deep understanding of customer needs, and a disciplined approach to qualifying, negotiating, and securing new revenue.

Customer and Account Management:

  • Engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business.
  • Plan and execute outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events.
  • Develop and communicate business plans on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of business opportunities aligned with short- and long-term objectives.
  • Represent the hotel in all sales interactions, including proposals and contracts.
  • Conduct site inspections tailored to customer needs through storytelling.
  • Coordinate customer specifications via lead management systems, maintaining accurate records in Delphi FDC.

Prospecting:

  • Generate new leads through research and proactive efforts, maximizing revenue and exceeding goals.
  • Create strategies to shift market share from competitors.
  • Engage in outside sales activities to identify needs, build relationships, and secure new business.

Negotiations:

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with end-users and intermediaries.
  • Provide solutions that meet financial goals while strengthening customer relationships.
  • Engage Hilton Worldwide Sales and Legal teams as needed during contracting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum four years of hotel sales experience, preferably in large properties.
  • Ability to travel on short notice and adapt to schedule changes.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
