Ververica, the original creator of Apache Flink, seeks a Sales Engineer to blend deep technical insight with business impact in a remote-first, global team. You will translate complex streaming solutions into measurable outcomes for customers in finance, gaming, telco, and manufacturing.

In this role you will craft tailored architectures, deliver compelling demos, and drive proofs of concept while collaborating with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and Engineering to accelerate

Formación

• Must have experience in a Sales Engineering or equivalent customer-facing technical role.
• Hands-on familiarity with data systems: streaming architectures, distributed data processing, data pipelines or analytics platforms.
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP) and deployment models including on-premises and BYOC.
• Ability to communicate clearly with engineers and executives, adjusting depth to the audience.
• Proficiency in SQL and coding in at least one language such as Java/Scala/Python.
• Experience scoping and running proofs of concept against customer success criteria.

Responsabilidades

• Discover customer pain points and map them to Ververica's platform capabilities.
• Design tailored streaming architectures and solutions for customers.
• Deliver product demos and lead proofs of concept.
• Provide technical validation to support deals from first contact through close.
• Own the technical narrative in RFPs, security reviews, and executive briefings.
• Represent the customer voice to Product and Engineering for roadmap input.
• Create reusable demos and reference architectures to scale across deals.
• Collaborate with Customer Success for smooth handover to production.
