Job summary

Rubrik is seeking a Sr. Sales Engineer to provide technical direction and business guidance to the regional sales team in Michigan. You will evangelize, position and architect Rubrik’s products for enterprise customers, leading demos, POCs and day-to-day account activities.

You will drive pipeline alongside Account Executives, qualify opportunities, and build trust as a technical advisor. The role emphasizes strong customer engagement and cross-functional collaboration to exceed sales quotas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales engineering experience in software or data center environments.
• Hands-on, energetic with a strong can-do approach.
• Broad knowledge in cloud data management, backup & disaster recovery, and data analytics.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, resourceful and hardworking.
• Capable of handling multiple calls and demos daily with prompt follow-up.
• Experience engaging CxO level personnel to bring tech solutions to business challenges.
• Smart, adaptable, and open-minded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to customers and internal staff for integrated solutions supporting pre-sales activities.
• Assist in the analysis, design and development of integrated technology solutions.
• Demonstrate leadership and SME knowledge of Rubrik products, architectures, file systems, and storage.
• Act as technical expert and consultant to propose solutions meeting customer requirements.
• Deliver technical and sales presentations to customer technical staff and senior management.
• Serve as trusted technology advisor to customers and internal resources on issues.
• Build relationships with account teams, partners and customers to support sales objectives.
• Lead technical sales calls.
• Qualify opportunities based on customer requirements, competition, decision process & funding.
