Description

What We Do: The Sales Development team works closely with both Sales and Marketing to drive interest in Payscale's solutions, identify potential buyers, and use compelling messaging to pique the interest of prospects. Our goal is to help compensation professionals learn how Payscale can empower them to adopt a modern compensation strategy.

What You Do: In this role, you will build a strong sales foundation by learning prospecting, lead qualification, research, customer personas, objection handling, and more. You are the first impression for potential clients and have a significant impact on Payscale's success.

Day-in-the-Life: As an SDR, your day may include:

  • Collaborating with Account Executives on territory planning to develop quality opportunities within geographic territories or industry verticals.
  • Qualifying inbound leads by understanding prospects' needs and addressing them directly.
  • Prospecting into accounts using innovative techniques and strategies for researching companies and buyers, targeting with persona-specific communication via email, phone, and LinkedIn.
  • Overcoming objections and effectively communicating Payscale’s value propositions to decision makers.
  • Staying current on industry trends and competitor offerings.
  • Maintaining records and providing market intelligence to teams via sales tools like Salesforce and Outreach.
  • Achieving monthly pipeline goals.
  • Continuous learning through training, coaching, and feedback.
First Year in Role
  • Month 3: Complete training, shadowing, and partner with Account Executives to hone your skills.
  • Month 6+: Become a team leader, contribute to team improvements, and develop advanced sales skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in sales, lead generation, inside sales, or business development.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Familiarity with sales enablement tools like Outreach/Salesloft, Highspot.

Compensation

The target base is $60,000, with potential commissions of $37,500, totaling an OTE of $97,500. Final compensation depends on location, skills, and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.
