Role Summary

The Senior Safety Specialist will coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine and complex construction projects. This position is responsible for conducting safety inspections, identifying hazardous conditions, writing reports, and performing trend analysis, all in support of JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities - Core

• Coordinate and implement the field safety program for construction projects.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits, document findings, and recommend abatement measures.
• Oversee safety orientations, compliance with drug and alcohol policies, and monitor safety programs of contractors.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss safety issues.
• Assist in accident investigations and coordinate injury management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities - Additional

• Handle complex safety hazards, provide advanced safety recommendations, and contribute to safety training and audits.
• Manage complex projects and oversee safety programs, including training strategies and technology integration.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication, proficiency in MS Office and safety software, and ability to enforce safety regulations.
• Ability to recognize hazards and build collaborative relationships.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu.
• Minimum 5 years construction safety experience required.
