Job summary

Volunteers of America Greater New York is seeking a Safety & Security Manager to lead security operations and emergency preparedness across its facilities. The ideal candidate will manage security plans for over 60 locations, negotiate contracts, and ensure the safety of clients and staff.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in public safety or security management.
• Understanding of New York City building and safety codes.
• Ability to manage multiple security audits and technology implementations.

Responsibilities

• Develop security plans for all facilities.

• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits.
• Serve as a crisis response resource.
• Design trainings for operational emergencies.
• Advise on security technology implementation.
