Job summary

Aptive Pest Control is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to lead enterprise safety programs in Provo, UT or remote. You will reduce auto incidents and workers’ compensation injuries by leveraging data, coaching technicians, and embedding safety into daily operations.

The role focuses on telematics, advanced safety techniques, and end-to-end workflow integration. A strong background in safety management within route-based services is required, with CSP/CFSD preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Fleet Safety Director (CFSD) preferred.
• Experience in safety management in route-based or field service environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage the enterprise-wide telematics program to monitor high-risk behaviors such as speeding and distracted driving.
• Leverage real-time data to drive field performance with targeted coaching and discipline for technicians.
• Utilize GPS tracking to optimize routing and reduce incidents.
• Enhance and modernize the Defensive Driver Safety Program for service vans and trucks.
• Implement behind-the-wheel evaluations and simulation-based training.
• Design and deploy a proprietary safety model embedded in the end-to-end service workflow.
• Integrate safety hard stops and digital checklists into the mobile service application.
• Host post-incident calls to determine root causes and preventive actions.
• Develop hazard identification and assessment programs to reduce slips, trips, and falls.
• Establish a culture of safety with empowered technicians to pause work when unsafe conditions arise.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with labels and SDS.
• Analyze safety KPIs to identify signal trends and correlations with schedule pressure.
• Prepare executive dashboards to visualize ROI of safety initiatives.
