Job summary

Hyundai Translead in Joliet, IL is seeking a Manager, Safety to lead occupational safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management across our manufacturing operations. You will develop and sustain safety programs, conduct hazard analyses, manage incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement.

Collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, HR, and Operations is essential to integrate safety into all daily activities. Up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant safety management experience.
• Experience managing OSHA compliance initiatives and regulatory inspections.
• Experience managing contractor safety and construction-related hazards.
• Experience leading incident investigations and root cause analysis efforts.
• Demonstrated leadership directing safety personnel and programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry and 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards.
• Develop, implement, and improve occupational safety programs and policies.
• Lead safety initiatives supporting operational and project activities.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and risk mitigation.
