Job summary

Hyundai Translead, a leader in trailer manufacturing, seeks a Director of Human Resources to provide strategic HR leadership for our Joliet operations. You will align HR practices with site objectives, ensure compliant employee relations, and partner with leadership to drive workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.

You will influence cross-functional leaders, coach site managers, and lead HR programs across talent acquisition, compensation, and performance management to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including manufacturing employee relations leadership.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders and drive process improvements.
• SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic and operational HR partner to manufacturing leadership.
• Drive employee relations with fair, compliant practices to build trust.
• Lead labor/employee relations and risk mitigation efforts.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support workforce planning and hiring readiness.
• Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local laws; support investigations.
• Own site-level HR policy implementation and short-term strategy execution.
