Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar industrial safety role.
• Familiar with safety/industrial hygiene concepts and procedures.
• Ability to engage top management and drive safety initiatives.
• Experience leading safety programs across multiple locations.
• Willingness to travel 15–20% of the time.
• Clean driving record acceptable for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Stay current with federal, state, local safety laws and DOT requirements.
• Ensure OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met.
• Monitor activities to halt imminent hazards to personnel or equipment.
• Assist safety committees with technical and administrative support.
• Manage the Safety Team and monitor development.
• Perform safety audits and lead training sessions.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and OSHA records as key contact.
• Provide safety expertise and training to employees and management.
• Conduct accident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Develop and track safety metrics and report to leadership.
• Help create and implement safety policies aligned with laws across locations.
