Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. seeks a Safety Manager to lead and improve the companywide safety program across multiple sites in a hands-on role on job sites and in offices.

You will translate commitments into procedures, training, audits, and measurable accountability, partnering with leaders, HR, and field staff to reduce risk and strengthen safety culture. The role requires 5+ years in occupational safety, strong communication, and the ability to influence across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible occupational safety experience.
  • Experience with client prequalification platforms and fleet safety.
  • Experience applying behavior-based safety strategies.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the companywide safety program development and implementation.
  • Coach and support site teams with safety practices.
  • Conduct safety needs assessments and update manuals.
  • Serve as corporate safety audit lead.
  • Investigate injuries, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop sector-specific safety training programs.
  • Build network of local safety representatives.
  • Coordinate safety compliance with HR and OSHA relations.
  • Maintain client safety prequalifications (e.g., Avetta).
  • Work with Fleet on driver-safety programs.
  • Oversee safety-related suppliers and equipment.
  • Represent KCI in industry safety groups.
  • Develop safety budget recommendations and manage it.
  • Ensure safety policy updates comply with regulations.
  • All duties as assigned.
