Job summary

Baycompanies in Green Bay, Wisconsin seeks a Safety Manager to lead the organization’s safety programs across divisions. You will develop, implement, and manage safety policies and procedures, staying current on federal, state, and local laws and OSHA requirements while maintaining incident records.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in safety and at least five years in an industrial setting, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field.
• Minimum five years of industrial safety experience.
• Familiar with OSHA standards and local/state regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on federal, state and local safety laws and DOT requirements.
• Ensure OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met.
• Monitor activities for potential hazards and halt unsafe operations.
• Support safety committees with technical and administrative input.
• Manage Safety Team and delegate tasks; track development.
• Lead safety audits and conduct employee training sessions.
• Oversee workers' compensation claims and OSHA injury reporting.
• Be the safety expert and coach management on policies and practices.
• Investigate accidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Track safety metrics and report findings to leadership.
• Help craft and enforce safety policies across multiple locations.
