POSITION OVERVIEW

The Safety Manager will maintain a visible and consistent field presence across multiple active work areas.

The role requires a safety leader who can move comfortably between field observations, contractor coordination, incident prevention, safety documentation, and project leadership meetings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide daily, on-site safety leadership for all assigned construction activities
  • Monitor medium-voltage electrical work and verify compliance with NFPA 70E requirements
  • Evaluate trenching and excavation activities, including protective systems, access, egress, spoil placement, and competent-person requirements
  • Oversee crane operations, rigging activities, critical lifts, and material-handling practices
  • Monitor forklift, aerial lift, and heavy-equipment operations
  • Conduct detailed jobsite inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments
  • Review job hazard analyses, pre-task plans, permits, and high-risk work documentation

  • Experience overseeing trenching, excavation, heavy equipment, or crane and rigging operations
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards
  • Demonstrated ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Strong written documentation and reporting capabilities
  • Professional communication skills and confidence working with project leadership
  • Ability to work 60+ hours per week and five to six days per week
