Job summary

Tiello LLC seeks a Safety Manager to lead the safety program across California operations, focusing on healthcare, tenant improvement, and data center environments. You will drive incident investigations, training, and collaboration with hospital and data center partners to ensure compliance and a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include developing programs, conducting audits, documenting training, and coordinating with project teams to minimize risk in occupied sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety management experience in construction or HVAC contracting.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations.
• Familiarity with healthcare safety requirements and data center protocols is a plus.
• Experience managing safety across multiple, often occupied, sites.
• Excellent incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain company-wide safety programs tailored to HVAC healthcare work.
• Ensure OSHA/Cal/OSHA compliance and site-specific safety protocols.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses; report findings.
• Deliver safety training for field crews, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with hospital and data center teams on safety practices.
• Integrate safety planning into project scheduling with PMs and supers.
• Maintain safety documentation, certifications, and training records.
• Manage workers' comp claims and return-to-work programs.
• Track TRIR/EMR and safety metrics for leadership review.
• Lead pre-task planning and toolbox talks; stay updated on regulations.
