Job summary

Talently is seeking a Project Safety Director to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives for major data center construction projects, serving as a trusted advisor to project leadership and field teams.

You will influence safety strategy, develop high-performing teams, and advance standards across a dynamic regional operation, with opportunities for relocation, per diem, and competitive bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum CHST certification required.
• At least 10 years of safety experience on major construction projects.
• Ability to lead a large safety team and coordinate with project leadership.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and hazard controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional HSE champion, providing guidance on standards and compliance.
• Monitor regulatory developments and develop compliance strategies.
• Oversee HSE Managers, including performance evaluations for site leaders.
• Support subcontractor prequalification and safety expectations.
• Conduct worksite visits, audits, and SPATs to drive corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and hazard recognition efforts.
• Provide safety leadership on active project sites and ensure training.
