Job summary

Southworth International Group, Inc. (SIGI) in Manila, AR, is seeking an experienced Safety Manager. The role leads all EHS programs across manufacturing and office operations, driving safety culture, hazard recognition, and proactive risk reduction.

The Safety Manager partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, and site leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive safety experience in heavy manufacturing or related environments.
• Proven knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards.
• Experience with heavy machinery, welding, fabrication, material handling, and industrial maintenance.
• Proven incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
• Strong communication, coaching, and training skills; able to train hourly employees to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve region-wide EHS programs, policies, and training materials.
• Maintain OSHA and environmental, health, and safety regulatory compliance.
• Lead safety support for welding, machining, fabrication, paint operations, and heavy equipment manufacturing.
• Coordinate audits, risk assessments, JHA/JSAs, ergonomic reviews, and corrective actions.
• Oversee core safety programs (Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, PPE, Fall Protection, etc.).
• Investigate injuries, illnesses, near misses, and environmental incidents; perform root cause analysis.
